avast! Professional Edition received another VB100 Award from the Virus Bulletin, an independent testing body. The test focused this month on the Windows Vista Business Editon platform.

I test eseguiti nel mese di Febbraio da AV-Comparatives erano limitati ai 17 prodotti antivirus piu' conosciuti a livello globale, e che avevano gia' ottenuto buoni risultati nei precedenti test. Per questi test sono stati utilizzati criteri molto piu' severi ma, nonostante questo, avast! ha ricevuto il punteggio "Advanced". Secondo il report di AV-Comparatives "una buona percentuale di rilevamento e' ancora una delle caratteristiche piu' importanti e affidabili di un prodotto antivirus"quot; Con una percentuale di rilevamento generale superiore al 98%, avast! si e' classificato tra i migliori prodotti antivirus per il rilevamento di malware, insieme ad altri prodotti a pagamento molto famosi e si e' classificato terzo tra tutti i prodotti testati per la velocita' di scansione.

February, 2009 - the Virus Bulletin test focused this month on the Linux platform. According to the Virus Bulletin report, avast! for Linux , which was developed specifically for the Linux platform, displayed excellent scanning speeds (both on access and on demand), and detection rates were at their usual exemplary level. avast! for Linux detected all viruses on the Wild List with no false positives and it has received the first VB100 Award in 2009.

Professional Edition ha ricevuto il premio Gold Malware Treatment dal portale Russo Anti-Malware.ru per le capacità di rilevare e rimuovere virus e altri malware, senza causare danni al sistema operativo del computer. In un sondaggio effettuato lo scorso Ottobre 2008 sui 15 principali fornitori di antivirus, avast! si è classificato al secondo posto ed è stato uno degli unici due antivirus in grado di rimuovere le infezioni rootkit in entrambi i test effettuati.
